Urine
Urine Integrity Test simultaneously screens creatinine, nitrite, glutaraldehyde, pH, specific gravity, and oxidant/PCC parameters to assess sample validity.
Urine Integrity Test is a single-panel screening test developed to verify the reliability of a urine sample before drug screening tests. It determines whether the sample has been diluted or tampered with in a way intended to mislead the result.
A single strip tests 6 parameters simultaneously:
The result is read within 1 minute using a color comparison method.
A waste product naturally present in urine. A low creatinine level indicates the sample has been diluted. (E.g., drinking excessive water or herbal tea can be used to mislead the drug test.)
Not present in normal urine. A positive result indicates an external chemical has been added to the sample.
Not present in normal urine. Its detection indicates chemical tampering intended to invalidate the test result.
Measures the acid-base balance of urine. Results outside the normal range indicate the sample has been tampered with.
Measures urine density. Values outside the normal range indicate dilution or substitution.
Not present in normal urine. Its detection indicates an oxidizing agent was used on the sample.
